What is Healthy Mind Foundation?
Our mission is the provision of integrated mental healthcare; enhancing understanding of mental health and dispelling the stigma of mental health conditions in Africa.

Are HMF Therapists Licensed?
Our providers are qualified & accredited medical practitioners who are licensed to practice in the fields of psychology, psychiatrist, occupational therapy and social work. We maintain rigorous ethical and professional standards for our providers as well as support feedback from our clients on the quality of services we provide.

How much do I pay to ask a question to a provider?
We charge $0.10 per minute for consultations. Our initial intake consultation and diagnostic assessment are 60 minutes at a minimum.

How does it work?

You can get a consultation in four ways:
o Instant messaging with your provider
o Live chat with your provider
o Video conferencing with your provider
o Direct phone calls with your provider
We make with as simple and direct as possible for you to use different ways to meet your needs.

How often are the providers online?
Our providers are online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.

How do I join as a provider?

How do live chat consultations work?
This is real-time interactive sessions with your provider. The convenience and privacy allow instant response and feedback from your provider.

How does messaging work?
Once you have created an account on our site, a private secure “room” will be created that allows you to message a provider at any time, no matter where you are. Your consultation room is open 24/7 and can only be accessed by your provider who can then read and respond to your messages. You will receive a notification by email when the provider has sent you a message.

How do live phone sessions work?
Phone sessions are a great way to conveniently speak with your provider by using your landline or mobile phone, no matter where you are.

Do I need to register?
Yes, registration is required to subscribe to Healthy Mind Foundation services. Our registration process is quick and easy. Please make sure that you read our privacy policy before you subscribe.

What if I forgot my password?
You can retrieve your password by clicking on the Forgot your Password link on the login page. Your password will be sent to the email address you used when you registered. You can always reset your own password. If you have any trouble retrieving your password or logging in, contact us at connect@hmfafrica.org

Why can’t I log in?
To log in, you need to use the login details you created when you first registered. Registration is required before you can log in. If you have registered and are unable to log in, check your password. If you forgot your password, you can always generate a new one by selecting the Forgot your password link in the sign-in pop-up.

What are the payment options available to me?
We accept payments by PayPal and other methods for credit card payments or mobile money.

How long should I expect to wait for an answer from a provider?
This depends on the complexity of your question but estimates vary from 1minute to one working day.

How do I ask a question to a provider on the site?
It is just 3 step process:

o Pay and get your answer within hours

What if the provider does not answer my questions to my expectations?
We ensure all our providers maintain a high degree of professionalism and ethical standards. If you feel your questions have not been properly addressed, please email your complaints to connect@hmfafrica.org or fill in the complaint form.

Is it safe for a provider to ask for my personal contact information?
Yes, it is very safe to share your personal contact information with Healthy Mind Foundation. We ensure every information provided on our site, including consultation notes are maintained with the highest level of security and privacy.

How do I change my account settings?
When you create your account or when you log in on our site, click on “Account & Setting” section. You can then change your personal settings such as your password, email, or phone number.

How can I delete my account?
If you want to delete your account, check on your account settings and follow the instruction otherwise contact us at connect@hmfafrica.org with the subject Delete Account.

How is my privacy protected?
Your confidentiality, security, and privacy are of paramount importance to us. Our site is built with an infrastructure that goes beyond the required standard to maintaining the safety of your interaction on out site. Check our privacy policy for details.
